I am a Master's level Registered Social Worker. I completed both my BSW and MSW degrees with the University of Calgary and was the proud recipient of the Gayle Gilchrist James and Richard F. Ramsay Gold Medal in Social Work in 2013. I am passionate about supporting people on their journey to healing and personal fulfillment in various capacities including individual counselling, group therapy and community development.
I aim to build a genuine and compassionate professional relationship with you as we work towards your well-being. I believe that no two people are the same and therefore draw on strategies from various therapeutic approaches to meet your needs. I take a humanistic and anti-oppressive approach to counselling, combining knowledge from person-centered, experiential, and somatic therapies, as well as other models. I am also passionate about art-making as a process for personal and broader social change and infuse this knowledge base in my work.
My areas of practice include grief & loss, intimate partner violence, life transitions, gender identity and sexuality, workplace stress, interpersonal issues, depression and anxiety as well as other mental health problems.
In my spare time I love to dance, spend time with my family, read novels, head to the movies with friends and devour way too much popcorn.
I offer appointments on Wednesdays and Fridays.
