M.C., Registered Provisional Psychologist
I am a registered provisional psychologist and hold my Master of Arts degree in counselling psychology from Yorkville University. I completed my Bachelor of Arts in psychology from the University of Lethbridge. I have experience in the public sector, not for profits (YWCA Harbour House, Canadian Mental Health Association), and the Lethbridge School District.
My areas of practice include trauma, anxiety, depression, ADHD, and personality disorders. As a type I diabetic myself, I have an interest in supporting individuals coping with demands related to diabetes management including: food, weight, blood sugar monitoring, fear of hypoglycemia, long term complications, and stigma.
I am trained in level one EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, and Motivational Interviewing. I am currently completing training in Hakomi Therapy.
My priority is making my clients feel safe, respected, and heard. I take a person-centred approach, and this means I am kind, open, and willing to help you through your unique experiences.
