I enjoy working with people who are motivated to change. Making the decision to connect with a therapist is the most important first step in creating change. Working together, my goal is to help individuals of all ages, couples and families to overcome the obstacles that often block our ability to utilize the strengths that we all possess. You bring the expert knowledge of your own life into the therapeutic relationship and together we will use that knowledge to create your desired lived experiences for you and your family. I have a special interest in working with the people who are dedicated to helping others in need (First Responders, child protection workers, teachers) while often neglecting their own needs and the effects that can have on their own lives (PTSD, depression, anxiety, suicidality, relationship issues).
I am a Registered Psychologist, Canadian Certified Counsellor – Supervisor, and an EMDR Therapist. I work from a Solution-Focused, Strengths based perspective as well as a Narrative Therapy framework. Based on the therapy goals we will create together, I will utilize techniques from CBT, EMDR, Expressive Arts/Play and Family Systems Therapy to help you achieve your goals. I enjoy working with children, adolescents, and families depending on presenting issues. I am also available to complete Psycho-educational assessments (for school, government funding, or employment) and Supervision for undergraduate and graduate students or those requiring supervised hours for their CCC designation with Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association.
I am currently accepting daytime, evening and weekend appointments either via face-to-face or Zoom. Please feel free to connect with me via e-mail if you have any questions.
