I am a Registered Psychologist with the College of Alberta Psychologists and I have a Masters of Counselling Degree in Counselling Psychology. I have been working in mental health since 2012 where I started within the sexual addictions and harm reduction field primarily focusing on the relational traumas that occur within partnerships affected by addictions.
My areas of practice include mental health concerns (depression, anxiety, personality disorders, etc.), complex trauma, attachment issues, major life transitions, stress management, relationship and sexual issues, and abuse and violence concerns. I provide counselling for adults, couples and groups.
I have advanced training in EMDR and integrate other modalities such as: Emotional Focused Couples Therapy, Internal Family Systems, Sandtray, Expressive Arts, CBT, and Mindfulness with an overarching attachment based lens. I approach counselling as a collaborative process believing that implications and insights from the past can be used as tools to promote emotional freedom and authentic living.
I was born and raised in Southern Alberta and in my spare time you can find me outside in nature. I enjoy camping, hiking, spending time with my friends, family and Great Dane lovingly nick named "Moose".
